RKAndroidTool is an Android app that turns your phone into a development tool. It includes Java, C, C++, Python, MATLAB, and more programming languages with free downloads for Linux/Windows/Mac OS X. There are also samples to help you learn programming basics. RKAndroidTool's features include ROM hacking capabilities which allows you to patch files on the device at boot time without requiring root access. The project even contains several educational games for kids which teach them how to program robots! This is an application that Raspberry Pi enthusiasts have been waiting for! RKAndroidTool will open up a plethora of new possibilities for developers who want to use their platform or existing devices as makeshift computers. For example, a smartphone can be turned into a network gateway, a home controller, or even a portable gaming console. This tool can be used to turn your Raspberry Pi into an Android Development Bridge (ADB). You can then load binaries onto it directly from your computer and debug them. It should be possible to do this with apps like GameSalad and other similar systems that compile Java code to native ARM machine code.Requires the following: Project Homepage: http://rkandroidtool.com/index_en.html Google+, Facebook: https://plus.google. com/+rkandroidtool/posts RKAndroid is closed source. All the tools are built-in Android applications, so there is no Android emulator in Linux.Version 1.30, 26 October 2014: Version 1.21, 15 April 2013: Requires connecting with a VNC client to the localhost on port 5900 (Note that you must be running an X server on 6101). Requires connecting with a VNC client to the localhost on port 6000 (Note that you must be running an X server on 6100). Does not work in Windows or Mac OS X due to lack of support for OpenGL ES 2. 0. The first Android emulator for Raspberry Pi, written in Java. The first version was published on Google Code before shipping on Android Market, but it had several critical issues (e.g., lags behind the core API). Furthermore, it was missing some basic features like USB audio and camera video capture. The current version includes all the basic features of the native core API (fast boot animation, audio/video recording/streaming), as well as an early implementation of USB audio and camera support (for debugging purposes); neither feature is feature-complete yet. Released on May 12, 2013 for Android 1.6+ devices. It is based on AndroidOpen, which in turn is based on RKAndroidTool. The module to enable ADB over USB was made by the author of raspberrypi.org's Android tutorial, Daniel Stone. It has been tested with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8. Released on 10 June 2013 for XP/Vista/Win7/Win8. It is a JavaScript-based tool that includes a basic terminal emulator and a set of command line tools that can be used to communicate with a PC or a Raspberry Pi running Linux via USB from any platform with a web browser. cfa1e77820
